Paella

Ingredients:

2 T spanish olive oil

1 bell pepper, diced

1 jar Matiz Sofrito

1 1/2 cups Matiz Paella Rice

1/2 t Saffron

4 cups fish or chicken broth

1 pound fresh seafood (mussels, shrimp, clams)

5 Matiz Piquillo Peppers, sliced into strips

lemon wedges for serving

Directions:

  1. In your Paella Pan, heat olive oil and saute bell pepper.
  2. Add sofrito and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Add in paella rice and disperse evenly.
  4. In the palm of your hand, crush saffron lightly and add to pan.
  5. Slowly add broth
  6. DO NOT STIR RICE.
  7. After 10 minutes, place fresh seafood and piquillo peppers into mixture.
  8. Once liquid is absorbed, maybe 10 minutes later, remove heat, cover with foil, set for 10 minutes.
  9. Garnish with lemon wedges and serve. Kit.
